2025 Planner Preorder Update

Just Scribble is working hard to ensure that quality planners and notebooks are shipped out on schedule.  Below you’ll find a high-level summary as well as a detailed update on 2025 Planner Preorders.

Summary:

  • There has been a delay in the production of the A5 planners. I’m taking measures to expedite processing and shipping to stay on the shipment schedule.  
    • A5 planner preorders placed before 9/26 are still expected to ship by end of October.
    • A5 planner preorders placed after 9/25 will ship by end of November.
  • A6 planners are in production.  All orders containing A6 planners are still expected to ship by end of November. 
  • There was a delay in receipt of the Cosmo Air Light paper ordered for our notebooks.  A5 Doodles and Scribbles in CAL paper will ship by end of November.  
    • CAL notebooks preordered before 9/26 will be shipped separately at no additional cost to you.
    • CAL notebooks preordered after 9/25 will ship with planner orders. 

Preorder Update:

    First off, I want to thank you all so much for your support and excitement over my planner launch.  It’s been amazing to see you ordering my planners and sharing your excitement throughout the planner community.  Words could not express how extremely happy I am that you love the planners as much as I do!   Secondly, I know that you are very anxious to receive your planners, so I wanted to give an update of where we are in the process. 

    As you know, I made the decision to switch from the 68gsm Sanzen Tomoe River paper to the 52gsm Sanzen Tomoe River paper for the planners and notebooks because the 68gsm paper quality was not up to my standards (see link below for the video testing the paper).  Because of this switch we had to order additional paper for the production of the planners and notebooks.  While this caused a small delay in starting production, it did not impact the overall projected timeline for delivery of the TRP planners and notebooks. 

    When we ordered the TRP paper we also placed the order for the Cosmo Air Light paper for our CAL notebooks which have been added to the line-up.  This paper was set to arrive with the TRP paper, but the paper did not arrive as scheduled.  As a result, the CAL notebook production has been delayed and the CAL notebooks will arrive separately from the A5 TRP planners and notebooks. If you ordered a Doodles or Scribbles notebook in the CAL paper, those will ship separately from your A5 TRP items at no cost to you. I will be covering the cost of this second shipment for all customers (worldwide) and truly apologize for the delay and inconvenience caused by this.

    In addition to this CAL notebook delay, my manufacturer has just advised me that they have had additional delay in production of the A5 TRP planners and notebooks. Although I don’t know the full details it appears that the influx of new planners and notebooks on the market put a strain on their resources causing production delays.  I have been told that others have had similar delays.  Rest assured, I have spoken with the manufacturer regarding the delays and they are working to expedite the production. However, I have indicated I do not want any expediting measures made that would compromise the end product. I don’t want the quality of the product you receive to be impacted by a rushed job.

    Based on past experiences and research, I did build a buffer into the timeline to account for unexpected delays. However, the delay from the manufacturer coupled with an upcoming national holiday has eaten into that buffer.  To combat this and work to meet our original timeline to ship out all the pre-ordered A5 planners and notebooks by the end of October, I have made the decision to pay a premium to have the A5 planners and notebooks express shipped to me.  It will still be a tight turnaround to get all the planners quality checked and shipped out to you by the end of October, but it’s my best option to try to maintain the original stated shipping timeframe.  So as of today, I still anticipate having all the A5 preorders placed before 09/25/24 (sans the CAL notebooks) shipped out by end of October. I truly appreciate your patience and will continue to share any updates as soon as they are available.

    Please also note that the A6 planners are already in production and I do not anticipate a delay in their shipment to me. Any A5 preorders placed after 09/25/24 and all orders containing A6 planners are expected to ship out by the end of November.
